| DNA Analysis |
It is a very simple and painless three step process to have your DNA retrieved and analyzed.

Step 1
We will send you a clinically sterile saliva test kit. You will brush the inside of your cheek with the cotton bud to soak in your saliva. This will collect enough DNA for analysis.
Step 2
After you send your saliva sample to us, we start the analysis in our laboratories. Over the course of a week, our scientists will carefully filter all other particles from the bud (saliva, bacteria, etc.) in order to obtain a few molecules of your DNA. These molecules are then "amplified", or grown, in order to analyze them properly. The analysis is done by machines and results in your own unique DNA sequence or code.
Step 3
We will then enter your DNA code into our comprehensive database to obtain matches with other people in the world with whom you share the same DNA sequence. We plot these matches on our world map to identify your true ancestral origins.
DNA Data Bank
The database is composed of published samples that have been taken around the world. The focus is not the DNA of your neighbor but of those people who are known not to have migrated for generations. When your DNA sequence matches those in the database, it indicates that you are more than likely to be descended from common ancestors.
Processing lab time for DNA analysis takes approximately 4 to 6 weeks.
