This PBS Special, shows how woven together, these stories form the very fabric of African-American history. During the making of AFRICAN AMERICAN LIVES, one of our geneticists Dr. Peter Forster of the University of Cambridge, collaboratively conducted the DNA tests featured in the special and outlined how his groundbreaking work in DNA geneaology has given us the ability to piece together history, and enabled us to offer such an amazing service.
