Discovering my natural ancestry has been exciting and surprising. I expected to see most of my ancestry in the area of Ireland. Not a single match for my genetic marker was found in that area. I'm very pleased to
have access to such a new revelation in my life. This simple process has given me tools to learn the history of my family. I'm looking forward to following my geographical map to travel to the places where my ancestors came from. This is a new adventure for me. I feel empowered by simply knowing more about where I came from. It's amazing how everything started with this simple DNA swab test. I now have places to travel. And not just any ordinary travel but one filled with a new anticipation to discover more about why I am and who I am. Thank You, Discover Natural Ancestry for this opportunity.

"I want to take this opportunity to thank everyone that was connected in me getting my DNA. As you well know I was shocked with the results because the information my adoptive family had was a little different. It is unbelievable. What my family thought my nationality was and what it actually is. I am German, Norway, Iceland and Poland. What a combination. I am on such a high it is so unbelievable. I don't know how to begin to thank all of you for everything. It is a beginning to my life again. I am alive as to know what and who I am. The cousins that you were able to match makes me feel that I really truly have a new family out there."

"I have done my own genealogical research and the slave records were amazing. I was shocked that the DNA results confirmed my own genealogical research. It makes me want to do further research into my past. It was really good to know about my Father’s ancestry. "

Discover Natural Ancestry came into existence out of a personal longing and experience. I knew nothing of my family’s past beyond the usual information you get from your parents and grandparents. Even their recollections were disconnected and unsubstantiated. My wife was working on a diversity program, and while we were discussing the program I came across an article on DNA. I told my wife that they should have the capability of determining where a person is from based on their DNA.
It was thrilling and exciting to find out where one branch of my family tree reached. I say "one branch" because if you take into account the DNA contributions over the years from each generation, there are two branches for each parent and so on as you go back. But just knowing was not enough. I found myself wanting to visit the location and possibly trace their steps. My wife arranged a trip as a birthday present and I had one of the most exciting experiences in my life. I found that people I had read about, scenes I had witnessed over the years were part of my family’s past. It was simply incredible and life-altering.
Knowing became a self-discovery. Sure, who I am is based on many factors. But some of those factors are those who lived before me. Part of who I am is a result of who they were. I want everyone to have the opportunity for the same self-discovery.
